Shiyong Homestay is unique as it gives our guests the opportunity to experience and merge in the social bonding amongst the simple family and village community.It is a home that aims to make our guests feel one with us as a part of the family and participate and feel the unique tribal culture and village lifestyle which we offer. Our guests can help us or learn to milk the cows,learn the process of plucking tea leaves in our family owned tea plantation,help us to harvest rice in harvest season, pick oranges and lemons when in season. Or they can just wander about through the village, take walks through the tea plantation or in the hills and other nearby villages.

Tucked away in misty plantation hills, Patchouli cultivation, Lemon Grass Oil Plant, Tea Estate, Patchouli and Lemon Grass Oil distillation plant; home stay in Shiyong Village offer you one of the most favoured means by visitors to enjoy and experience the culture, lifestyle and flavours of the land and its people.

Shiyong village is 32kms away from Mon town the district headquarters. It is well connected by road from Jorhat (147kms) and Dibrugarh (283kms) which are both connected to the Indian metros of Kolkata, New Delhi and Guwahati both by air and railways.

It is situated on a ridge on a hilltop surrounded bytea plantations,orange plantations and rice fields. with lush forests and clear streams.

Guests of the homestay will come and live with a tribal family in the village and participate in the daily activities and learn and share.

All the vegetables and ingredients for the food is grown organically and locally in the farms in the village.

The guests will have the chance to come and experience first hand the simple and peaceful lifestyle and be a part of it.
